The village council makes John Caskey an honorary citizen
30 June 1959 Proven
By unanimous decision no. 45 the council of Myloi declared the American archaeologist John Caskey an honorary citizen, for services to culture and to tourism in the community. It was signed by president Chr. Papagiannis and members Angelos Diamantopoulos, G. Kodelas and Il. Papoulias, and handed to Caskey on 2 July 1959. A 1963 newspaper wrongly dates the honour to 1961.
