The Security Battalions of Tripoli are disarmed at Myloi and shipped to Spetses
October 1944 Proven
Under an agreement made at the end of September 1944, the collaborationist Security Battalions of Tripoli under Dionysios Papadongonas marched in formation, with their personal weapons, to Myloi. There they handed their weapons over to ELAS, and small vessels took them across to Spetses under the protection of an Allied detachment. Several hundred men passed through Myloi in this way in early October 1944.
Note: The exact date (c. 1–5 October 1944) and the number of men (500 or 800) differ between sources.
