The schoolmaster of Myloi is paid by the state
11 January 1886 (30 December 1885 old style) Proven
A new decree on school grants again gave Myloi 10 drachmas a month, now 'for the schoolmaster' (grammatodidaskalos). Together with earlier reports, it shows that the village kept a small school of its own in the years before the railway arrived.
