Andes Candies: a founder from Myloi or from Achladokampos?
1906 Disputed
In 1934 the New York Greek daily Ethnikos Kiryx wrote that Andreas G. Kanelos (Kanellopoulos), founder of the Andes Candies shops in Chicago, "comes from Myloi of Argos" and arrived in America in 1906 at the age of twelve. Five Argolid papers of 1956–1959, however, call him a "child of Achladokampos" and its great benefactor.
Note: Until a passenger list or other record settles it, Kanelos should not be presented as a man from Myloi.
