A new deal: money for Nafplio instead of a longer pier at Myloi
16 December 1899 (4 December 1899 old style) Proven
Prime Minister Theotokis and Pavlos Skouzes, chairman of the ΣΠΑΠ, signed a contract that replaced the pier extension at Myloi. The company would pay 100,000 drachmas to Nafplio's harbour fund and lay track along the Nafplio quay to the customs pier; flour and grain for the Myloi–Kalamata line would travel free between Nafplio and Myloi. If Nafplio did not start its works within five years, the duty to extend the Myloi pier would revive.
