6 July 1891 (24 June 1891 old style) Proven

At 6 in the morning the royal yacht Sfaktiria sailed into Myloi with King George I, the princes Nikolaos and Andreas and Prime Minister Deligiannis, greeted by cannon fire as she passed Nafplio. At 8 the king stepped ashore on the landing stage, decorated with myrtle and laurel beside a flag-hung arch. The mayor of Argos, Kalmouchos, welcomed him, and the king warmly shook hands with the contractor Rolin.

Note: The two eyewitness reports differ slightly on the times (arrival at 6, landing at 8).
