Which destroyer called at Myloi: Nubian or Havock?
26 April 1941 – 27 April 1941 Disputed
One version, followed until now on this website, says that HMS Nubian called at 'Myli' in the night of 26 to 27 April 1941 to collect General Wilson and found him already gone. The official despatch in the London Gazette says instead that HMS Havock was detailed to embark the general's staff 'at Myli opposite Nauplia' and took Baillie-Grohman's party off the caique; according to the same despatch Nubian was elsewhere that night. Possibly different ships were sent for different groups.
Note: Not yet resolved: the log of HMS Havock for 1941 does not survive in ADM 53; the Nubian version still needs a primary source.
