La Casa di Ercole
A restored stone house from 1870, once a wartime hospital and an open-air cinema, three minutes from the beach.
La Casa di Ercole is a house with a past. It was built in 1870 as a spacious family home, with thick natural-stone walls and wooden details. During the Second World War it became a temporary hospital, where people were cared for in difficult times. In the 1960s and 1970s the grounds served as an open-air cinema: where patients had once been nursed, villagers now gathered to watch films under the Greek night sky.
Today the house has been carefully restored as a holiday home, and its original details still recall that history. The self-contained one-bedroom apartment of about 38 m² is three minutes’ walk from Myloi beach. It has a kitchenette with oven and microwave, air conditioning, a balcony and terrace overlooking the garden, and free private parking. Pets are allowed.
